Accepted at Harvard University as an Edward S. Mason Fellow in the Master in Public Administration Program! 
I am deeply honored and humbled to share that I have been accepted into my dream program- Harvard Kennedy School’s Master in Public Administration (MC/MPA) program as an Edward S. Mason Fellow! 
To pursue this incredible opportunity, I am taking a break from my PhD in Social Work at Tribhuvan University and immerse myself in an environment that will equip me with the tools, networks, and knowledge to drive meaningful change in Nepal.
At Harvard University, globally ranked #1 in multiple categories , I will have the privilege of learning from renowned professors, policymakers, global leaders, and experts who have shaped policies, governance, and social change worldwide. More importantly, I will be surrounded by a cohort of emerging leaders from diverse countries and sectors, working together to tackle the pressing challenges of our time—governance reform, education equity, accessible healthcare, economic development, climate change, the future of jobs, labor migration, and Nepal’s complex geopolitical realities.
Through this, I hope to strengthen global collaboration for sustainable development, peace, and prosperity in Nepal.
This journey is bigger than me. It is about Nepal’s youth—both at home and in the diaspora—who continue to push for justice, accountability, and opportunity. Many young Nepalis leave the country due to limited economic prospects, inadequate education systems, and governance failures. We need to create an environment where staying in Nepal is a viable option—where young people have access to quality education, meaningful employment, and the ability to shape their own future. It is also vital to engage our diaspora, leveraging their expertise, networks, and resources to contribute to Nepal’s development through knowledge-sharing, investment, and policy collaboration.
Over the years, I have worked alongside inspiring individuals and movements advocating for education reform, healthcare access, ethical governance, youth leadership, and social justice. Education and healthcare—two fundamental pillars of a just society—must be accessible to all, not just a privileged few. At Harvard, I aim to refine the skills needed to strengthen Nepal’s education system, improve public service delivery, and develop policies that uplift marginalized communities.
The rapid advancement of technology and AI is reshaping economies, governance, and global security. Nepal must be proactive in preparing its workforce for the future, ensuring that our youth have the skills, training, and opportunities to compete globally. At the same time, migration continues to shape our economy and society, with millions of Nepalis working abroad. It is crucial that we develop sustainable job opportunities at home while also creating pathways for Nepali migrant workers to upskill, reintegrate, and contribute to national development.
I would not be here without the unwavering support of mentors, friends, and allies who believed in me, challenged me, and stood by me in moments of doubt.
A special tribute to my mentor late Ujwal Thapa dai, whose vision, courage, and leadership laid the foundation for alternative politics in Nepal. His relentless commitment to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, ethical governance, and public service continues to inspire me and countless others.
To my family, colleagues, fellow activists, my students and all those who have walked this journey with me—thank you. This achievement belongs to all of us.
Harvard is more than an academic pursuit—it is a global platform for collaboration, innovation, and peace-building.It is an opportunity to equip myself with the knowledge, networks, and leadership skills necessary to contribute to Nepal’s transformation. The road ahead is rigorous, but I am ready to learn, grow, and return with renewed purpose, stronger strategies, and a global network committed to creating a just, equitable, and prosperous Nepal.

धेरै विधामा विश्वमा नम्बर १ मानिने हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालयले संसारभरका रूपान्तरणकारी परिवर्तन गर्न सफल नेताहरूलाई मार्गनिर्देशन गर्दै आएको छ, र म यस प्रतिष्ठित संस्थाको हिस्सा बन्न पाउँदा गर्व महसुस गरिरहेको छु।
यस अविश्वसनीय अवसरलाई पछ्याउनका लागि, म त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालयमा समाजकार्य (Social Work) विषयमा गरिरहेको मेरो पीएचडी अध्ययनबाट केही समयका लागि विश्राम लिँदै छु। हार्वर्डमा बित्ने यो समयले मलाई नेपालमा सार्थक परिवर्तन ल्याउने आवश्यक सीप, नेटवर्क, र ज्ञान प्रदान गर्नेछ भन्ने ठूलो विश्वास छ।
हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालयमा, म विश्वभरका प्रख्यात प्राध्यापकहरू, नीति निर्माता, समाजमा परिवर्तन ल्याउने नेताहरू, र विज्ञहरूसँग अध्ययन गर्ने अवसर पाउनेछु।
विश्वव्यापी रूपमा नीति निर्माण, शासन, र सामाजिक परिवर्तनलाई दिशा दिएका तथा दिइरहेका व्यक्तिहरूसँगको सामिप्यताले मलाई झन् प्रेरित गर्नेछ। अझ महत्वपूर्ण कुरा, म विभिन्न देश र क्षेत्रका उदाउँदा नेताहरूसँग सहकार्य गर्न पाउनेछु, जसले हाम्रो समयका प्रमुख चुनौतीहरूको समाधान खोज्न हातेमालो गरिरहेका छन्।
सुशासन, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य सेवा, आर्थिक विकास, जलवायु परिवर्तन, रोजगारीको भविष्य, श्रमिक आप्रवासन, र नेपालको जटिल भू-राजनीतिक अवस्था जस्ता विषयहरूबारे गहिरो अध्ययन गर्न तथा समाधान खोज्न म उत्साहित छु।
यो यात्रा मात्र मेरो लागि होइन—यो सम्पूर्ण नेपाली युवाको प्रतिनिधित्व पनि हो।
धेरै नेपाली युवा सीमित आर्थिक अवसर, कमजोर शिक्षा प्रणाली, र असफल शासनका कारण आफ्नो देश छोड्न बाध्य छन्। हामीले नेपालमै बस्ने वातावरणलाई सम्भावनायुक्त, सशक्त, र आकर्षक बनाउनुपर्छ, जहाँ युवाहरूले गुणस्तरीय शिक्षा, राम्रो रोजगारी, र आफ्नो भविष्य आफैं निर्माण गर्ने अवसर पाउन सकून्।
यसका साथै, मेरा निम्ति प्रवासी नेपालीहरूसँगको सहकार्य पनि अत्यन्त आवश्यक छ। उनीहरूको सीप, नेटवर्क, र स्रोतसाधनलाई सही रूपमा परिचालन गर्दै नेपालमा ज्ञान आदान-प्रदान, लगानी, र नीति निर्माणमा संलग्न गराउन ढिला गर्न हुँदैन।
विगत वर्षहरूमा, मैले शिक्षा सुधार, स्वास्थ्य सेवा पहुँच, सुशासन, युवा नेतृत्व, र सामाजिक न्यायका क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत प्रेरणादायी व्यक्तित्वहरूसँग सहकार्य गर्ने अवसर पाएको छु।
न्यायपूर्ण समाजका आधारभूत दुइ स्तम्भहरू अर्थात् शिक्षा र स्वास्थ्य – सबैका लागि उपलब्ध हुनुपर्छ, केही सीमित वर्गका लागि मात्र होइन।
हार्वर्डमा अध्ययन गरेर म नेपालको शिक्षा प्रणाली बलियो बनाउन, सार्वजनिक सेवा प्रवाह सुधार गर्न, र विशेष गरी सीमान्तकृत समुदायहरूको उत्थानका निम्ति प्रभावकारी नीति निर्माणका लागि आवश्यक सीपहरू हासिल गर्नेछु।
प्रविधि र एआईको तीव्र प्रगतिले विश्वव्यापी अर्थतन्त्र, शासन, र सुरक्षा प्रणालीमा आमूल परिवर्तन गरिरहेको छ।
नेपालले पनि यस परिवर्तनको लागि तयार हुनुपर्छ, जहाँ हाम्रा युवाहरूले विश्व बजारमा प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न आवश्यक सीप, तालिम, र अवसर पाउन सकून्।
त्यसैगरी, आप्रवासनले हाम्रो अर्थतन्त्र र समाजलाई गहिरो रूपमा प्रभावित गरिरहेको छ, लाखौं नेपालीहरू विदेशमा श्रम गरिरहेका छन्।
त्यसैले, नेपालमै दिगो रोजगारी सिर्जना गर्नुका साथै आप्रवासी नेपाली श्रमिकहरूको हक-हितको सुरक्षा, सीप अभिवृद्धि, र दीर्घकालीन योगदानका लागि सक्षम बनाउनु अत्यन्त आवश्यक छ।
म यहाँसम्म आइपुग्न मेरा गुरुहरू, साथीहरू, विद्यार्थीहरू, परिवार, र सहयात्रीहरू प्रति गहिरो आभार व्यक्त गर्न चाहन्छु।
विशेष श्रद्धाञ्जली स्वर्गीय उज्वल थापा दाइलाई, जसको दूरदृष्टि, साहस, र नेतृत्वले नेपालमा वैकल्पिक राजनीति निर्माणको आधारशिला राख्यो।
युवा सशक्तिकरण, उद्यमशीलता, सुशासन, र सार्वजनिक सेवामा उहाँको निरन्तर योगदान आज पनि मलाई र हजारौं नेपालीहरूलाई प्रेरित गरिरहेको छ।
मेरो परिवार, सहकर्मी, साथीहरू, विद्यार्थीहरू, र यो यात्रामा सँगै हिँड्ने सबैलाई— हार्दिक धन्यवाद!
यो उपलब्धि हामी सबैको हो। फेरी भन्छु, यो हामी सबैको उपलब्धी हो।
हार्वर्ड केवल एउटा शैक्षिक संस्था मात्र होइन—यो एक विश्वव्यापी सहकार्य, नवीनता, र शान्ति निर्माणको प्लेटफर्म हो।
नेपालको रूपान्तरणमा योगदान पुर्याउन आवश्यक ज्ञान, नेटवर्क, र नेतृत्व क्षमता हासिल गर्ने अमूल्य अवसर पनि हो ।
यो यात्रा चुनौतीपूर्ण हुनेछ, तर म सिक्न, अघि बढ्न, र सशक्त योजनाका साथ नेपाल फर्कन पूर्ण रूपमा तयार छु।
न्यायपूर्ण, समान, र समृद्ध नेपाल निर्माण गर्न सँगै लागौं! हामी सँगै छौं।
